This week at Lens and Pens by Sally we contemplate on nature.
Check out Sally’s “Nature’s Softer Palette” gallery and meet Photographer David Benjamin Sherry
and join the Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Photo Challenge.
What I like about the challenge is the pre-set weekly focus (for those who schedule posts, this is ideal)
and the ongoing relationship Sally develops with me as an iPhoneographer.

Living up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, I’m surrounded by nature.
There is so much nature, it really looks the same day by day. Yet each day
and each moment hold its own spectacular beauty.

It is special when nature comes into our cabin. Yesterday my love brought home these two beauties.

Wonderful wonderful blog. I have barely scratched the surface yet, but you have some amazing photo’s from what I have seen, coupled with some amazing tips.
Gosh Phil, I’m blusing with surprise. I am happy to hear that you like it. Thank you so much for your feedback and stopping by.
Lovely photos, I love the last one – a work of art! 🙂
Thanks Amanda for stopping by.
Beautiful photos. We too live surrounded by nature. Ours is primarily hardwood forest. You have inspired me to take some more creative photos when I’m there. I especially love the photo of your redwood circle. Inspiring!
The 1st shot is lovely!
So lovely! 🙂
I like the peace of the first two.

Love that first shot! 🙂 And your flowers.
First shot is my favorite too. We have unusual bird pattern this year. Hundreds of doves in our old old juniper tree by this pond. I hope to get a shot before they all leave. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.
Oh, you have a cabin in Santa Cruz mountains. Northern California is the place that stole my heart years ago, and has kept it nestled in its splendor. Was there in April, and visited Yosemite for the first time. I was dazed with emotion. You see such beauty and joy every day that I am so happy for you. What a lovely environment to be and evolve. Nature teaches us every day. Your images are marvelous. The last one keeps me returning. It speaks volumes for nature’s various stages that keep our attention. Happy Photo Challenge.
As I use my iPhone more for photographs, I am amazed both by the quality and the options that the apps provide.
Stunning photos. Love the sunrise. 😀
Wonderful photos to show just how beautiful nature is. And you have a very nice love!
Thank you to both! I am so blessed!
